Limoneira ‘s miniature sheep graze on Santa Clara Valley Native Vegetation under the solar panels. The Sheep graze for an average of seven hours per day.

Limoneira has been practicing Sustainability and Stewardship for its 122 year history (Our founders didn’t refer to many of the practices this way naturally. They were simply concerned with the expensive inputs that go into Ag. By controlling the use of these resources and by being more efficient, they were reducing their expenses (and treading more lightly on the land).

Over the years, Limoneira’s Board and Management have introduced a number of policies and procedures that are now known as sustainable

  • Limoneira now offers 265 homes for families of its ag workers and others making lower incomes in Ventura County
