- 1 cup water
Simple Syrup #2:
- 1 cup water
- 1/3 cup raw honey
Lemonade:
- Simple syrup 1 recipe
- 1 cup lemon juice 4-6 lemons
- 3 cups cold water
Variations:
- 2 pints blueberries or
- 3 cups chopped peaches
Instructions
Syrup 1 & 2:
- Place ingredients in a small saucepan. Bring to a simmer over a medium-low setting, stirring until the sugar/honey dissolves.
- Once the liquid is clear, remove the saucepan from the heat and set aside.
Lemonade:
- Juice lemons to render 1 cup of fresh juice.
- Add the juice and simple syrup to a pitcher and stir.
- Add the water and stir to combine.
Variations:
- Add fresh blueberries or diced peaches to a saucepan over a medium-high setting. Heating breaks down the fruit and helps render the juices.
- Once mushy and mostly liquid, remove from the heat and pass through a fine sieve to separate the juice.
- Add to your lemonade recipe.
Notes
Note: Choose one method for making simple syrup, then choose your variations from that point.
