  1. Fill a large pot with water and a pinch of salt, and bring to a boil. Add the pasta, and cook about 8 to 10 minutes, or until al dente. Drain, but save some of the cooking liquid.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of the oil in a large skillet on a low setting. Add the chopped capers and garlic, and saute until fragrant, or about 3 to 5 minutes.
  3. Add the lemon zest and juice, and the chopped herbs. Stir as you continue to heat at a low setting for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Remove from the heat and add the chopped avocado, stirring to heat. Add about 1/4 cup of the pasta liquid to the pan and stir together along with the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  5. Stir together, and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  6. Divide between four plates or bowls, and garnish with Asiago cheese.
