Lemon Cinnamon Honey Tea

Tea and lemon juice make a perfect combination. Both are chock full of antioxidants, which boost the immune system. Lemon and tea together contain flavonoids, which have been shown in some clinical studies to reduce the inflammation that leads to many diseases and conditions, and even helps to promote heart health. Lemon juice on its own aids digestion. Adding cinnamon and honey adds both flavor and nutritional goodness. This makes enough for a large teapot.
Course Drinks


  • 1 tbsp Black tea leaves you can substitute 2 teabags
  • 1 Lemon sliced
  • 2 Cinnamon sticks
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • 6 cups Boiling water
  • Lemon slices to serve


  • Add the tea leaves or bags, sliced lemon, and cinnamon sticks to a large teapot. You can also use a coffee plunger or French press if it’s big enough.
  • Pour the boiling water over, and add honey, stirring to dissolve.
  • Allow to steep for about 5 minutes.
  • Strain out the solids, or plunge the tea as you would normally with coffee in the press.
  • Serve with lemon slices.
